Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Avondale, AZ is seeking an Overnight Veterinary Receptionist (Client Service Coordinator). The role includes greeting clients, coordinating appointments, and supporting pet owners during emotional times, with 7pm–7am shifts on Thursday, Friday and Saturday and hourly pay between $18 and $25, plus nightly shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Veterinary client service experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service professional.
• Able to provide guidance, comfort and support to clients.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients with friendly eye contact at the entry and offer a warm, professional acknowledgement.
• Maintain a friendly smile, strong eye contact, and approachable demeanor.
• Be a compassionate listener.
• Speak clearly, slowly, and calmly in person and on the telephone.
• Assess upon arrival each client’s needs and the pet’s general condition.
• Determine whether an emergency arrival is a “stat” versus “standard” emergency.
• Respond to non-patient calls or visitors and connect them to the appropriate team member.
• Confirm all appointments in advance ensuring clients receive accurate information about preparing their pet for the appointment.
• Offer emotional support and resource materials to grieving clients in a compassionate and discreet manner.
• Serve as a liaison between clients and service agencies during handling of pet remains ensuring a complete, accurate, and compassionate process.
