Job summary

LAZ Parking in Myrtle Beach is seeking a License Plate Inventory Clerk for overnight part-time shifts from 12am to 6am. You will drive the lot vehicle to log plates and assist customers while supporting airport operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, supervisor experience, and a valid driver’s license for over two years. You will follow SOPs, maintain equipment, and help with inventory and recognition projects.

Responsibilities

• Operate and drive a vehicle to log plates in your assigned lot.
• Record plates or VINs with handheld devices when not capturable by vehicle.
• Keep equipment secure and in good working order (keys, cameras, handhelds, radios).
• Log any equipment malfunctions with details.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Assist Supervisors on inventory and recognition projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

The Spirit of the Position

The License Plate Inventory (LPI) Clerk captures the license plates of all vehicles parked at the airport on a given day. This allows for the parking operation to monitor abandoned vehicles as well as provide customer assistance when requested.

Principal Job Duties

• Operate and drive a vehicle around the lots to capture and log all plates of vehicles in your assigned lot.
• Use a handheld device walking parking lots/decks to record plates or VINs of vehicles that cannot be capture by vehicle.
• Ensure equipment is in good working order and that keys, cameras, handhelds, radios, and other items are secure at all times.
• Provide a detailed explanation and/or log when equipment malfunctions occur.
• Follow all procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual.
• Assist the Supervisors to implement and complete other projects, programs, and initiatives that may arise in areas related to inventory and/or recognition.
• Other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED required.

• Parking industry experience is preferred.

Physical Demands
