Job summary

LAZ Parking in Lakeway, Texas is seeking an Overnight Valet Attendant to greet guests, direct traffic, and park/retrieve vehicles with a smile. You will be the first and last impression for clients, ensuring a warm welcome and professional demeanor throughout the shift.

The role is full-time, working the overnight 11:00pm–7:00am schedule, with hourly pay of $15 plus tips. Benefits include paid training and a 401(k) with employer match, plus medical/dental/vision options.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Direct traffic to keep flow of cars organized and greet guests with a smile.
• Welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
• Greet customers by name and address their needs with rapport.
• Open and close doors for customers upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage from vehicle to vehicle as necessary.
• Turn off each car and remove keys.
• Provide each customer with a valet ticket and retrieval process.
• Park and retrieve cars carefully, efficiently, and timely.
• Work with or without supervision as needed.
• Promote excellent customer relations and represent LAZ positively.

Compensation: The hourly base pay is $15 per hour plus tips

Work Schedule: Full-time; Overnight shift 11:00pm - 7:00am

The Spirit of the Position:

A LAZ Overnight Valet Attendant plays a significant role in the success of the company. They are the first person our clients and customers see upon arrival, and the last person our clients & customers see when they depart. A warm welcome, smiling face, and professional demeanor are of the utmost importance.

What Will I Do?

• Help direct traffic to keep the flow of cars clean and organized, all with a smile on your face!
• Welcome guests upon arrival and departure.
• Greet all customers by name, take care of their needs, and develop a rapport with each person driving up to your stand.
• Open and close doors for every customer upon arrival and departure.
• Assist guests with luggage from vehicle and to vehicle as necessary.
• Turn off each car and remove keys.
• Provide each customer with a valet ticket and provide retrieval process.
• Park and retrieve cars like a champ. This means carefully, efficiently, and in a timely manner.
• Provide a self-reliant attitude when needed. Must be able to work with or without supervision.
• Promote awesome customer relations. Smile, go above and beyond, make them love LAZ Parking the moment they meet you.

• You're charismatic, full of energy, and happy to help in any way you can.

• A good driver with a driving record to prove it. You don't speed, you're cautious - ESPECIALLY with other people's property.

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service experience.
• Cash handling experience is preferred but not required.
• Parking industry experience is preferred but not required.

Skills:

• Ability to drive a manual shift vehicle.
• Ability to communicate professionally and effectively.
• Willingness to be flexible, work multiple facility locations.
• Ability to handle challenging and at times, emotionally charged situations.
• Must be able to work unsupervised.
• Must be able to make decisions independently and stay firm on decisions made (not easily persuaded).
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and timeliness.
• Excellent team building and interpersonal skills.

Requirements:

• Valid Driver's License (at least 2 yrs)
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Outstanding customer service experience
• Work in a fast-paced environment
• Parking and/or hospitality industry experience is preferred but not required.

Physical Demands:

• Willingness to work in the elements -- heat, wind, snow, rain, etc.
• Ability to lift, push and pull at least 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk and run for extended periods of time.
• Ability to bend, stoop, squat and lift frequently throughout a shift.
