Job summary

McAlister Institute in San Diego's Recovery Community seeks a compassionate Overnight Monitor for the Adult Detox program in Lemon Grove. This on-site role supports a safe, recovery-focused residential environment during overnight hours and ensures smooth program operations.

The SUD Overnight Monitor oversees multiple residential programs, monitors client safety, responds to emergencies, and completes essential administrative duties with accuracy and discretion.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered SUD Counselor (CAADE, CADTP, or equivalent) required.
• Minimum of two years in behavioral health services preferred.
• Experience with adults in a counseling or therapeutic setting preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uphold and promote the mission, philosophy, values, and direction of McAlister Institute.
• Foster a positive, respectful, and recovery-focused residential environment.
• Monitor client safety and well-being throughout the overnight shift.
• Conduct hourly facility walk-throughs and ensure building security.
• Complete shift documentation, logs, reports, and other required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Provide program coverage as needed, including answering phones, filing, and general administrative support.
