Job summary

Phoenix House California is hiring an Overnight Recovery Support Specialist to supervise patients and facilitate services while upholding program policies. The role reports to the Facility Manager and requires active AOD Counselor Certification or CA Counselor credentials and a valid CA driver's license.

Responsibilities include safe supervision, documenting patient information, coordinating with clinical and administrative teams, and ensuring daily program adherence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and DHCS recognition as AOD Counselor or CA Counselor.
• RSS II requires high school diploma and CA Counselor certification (DHCS).
• Preferred six months of related experience.
• Must maintain a valid California driver's license with proof of insurance and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient supervision in a safe, therapeutic setting.
• Follow treatment model; conduct interventions and provide support.
• Observe, document patient information and coordinate across departments.
• Ensure adherence to daily program schedule.
• Maintain accurate documentation in records and logs.
• Transport patients to off-site appointments as needed.
• Conduct patient checks and urine testing; perform safety checks.
• Attend training sessions and staff meetings; uphold PH values.
• Lead duties on assigned shift and assist as required.
