Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and DHCS AOD Counselor registration.
• RSS II: high school diploma and DHCS AOD Counselor certification.
• Preferred six months of related field experience.
• Valid California driver's license with insurance and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient supervision in a safe, therapeutic setting.
• Support treatment models; conduct interventions and provide guidance.
• Observe and document patient information and behaviors; communicate with staff.
• Ensure patients follow daily program schedule.
• Maintain timely documentation in electronic health records and logs.
• Safely transport patients to off-site appointments and activities.
• Perform patient checks and counts; document results.
• Conduct facility safety checks and patient searches as required.
• Perform urine testing and document results.
• Attend required Phoenix House trainings and staff meetings.
• Promote mission, vision, and values; model professional behavior.
• Lead shift duties as assigned; perform other duties as needed.
