Job summary

TURN is seeking a SUD Specialist AOD for the overnight shift to maintain a safe residential recovery environment and support clients and program staff. The role includes crisis intervention, documentation, and collaboration with the clinical team.

Responsibilities include securing the facility, supervising residents, conducting room checks, and participating in program meetings. A valid CA license, board certification, and CPR/First Aid within 30 days are required or expected.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Registered or certified from recognized AOD certifying boards (CCAPP, CADTP, CAADE) required.
• Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance per contract requirements required.
• Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder services preferred.
• Cultural competency understanding required.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EHR software preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification required within 30 days of hire and bi-annual thereafter.
• Bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain security procedures for the facility.
• Oversee residents rooms; conduct room searches and ensure room standards are kept.
• Provide crisis intervention and stabilization to assist clients in symptom management.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation as contractually required and meet minimum requirements for client services.
• Shift coverage including part of the on-call team.
• Maintain confidentiality of clients' care.
• Participate in scheduled program meetings.
• Assist with assessment, intake, transition, discharge of clients entering/exiting the withdrawal management and residential program.
• Conduct withdrawal management observations, monitor client progress, and maintain strong communication with the clinical team.
• Administer baseline and random drug testing in accordance with program policies.
• Monitor clients' self-administered medications, conduct medication check-in, and compliance data entry.
• Assist with conducting evidence-based clinical and patient education groups.
• Other relevant duties as assigned.
