Job summary

HealthRIGHT 360, a nonprofit provider of integrated health and behavioral care, seeks an Overnight SUD Counselor III for the Pomona Women’s Center. The role involves in-person individual and group counseling, case management, and assisting clients in navigating systems of care within a 10:30 PM–6:00 AM shift.

The interdisciplinary team supports women in recovery from SUD and co-occurring disorders, with a focus on services for mothers and children.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Certification as a Substance Use Disorder Counselor from a CA agency (CCAPP, CAADE, CADTP).
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Valid California Driver’s License.
• At least one year of experience as a registered SUD counselor or recovery specialist in community mental health or residential setting.
• Experience carrying a caseload and ability to pass background check/live scan; may consider applicants with arrest records.

Responsibilities

• Remain alert and awake during the entire shift.
• Maintain an assigned caseload of up to 25 clients and provide individualized weekly counseling.
• Facilitate group counseling sessions and community meetings.
• Proactively link clients to internal and external resources based on treatment needs.
• Teach classes on treatment-related topics to assist clients in meeting their treatment goals.
• Collaborate to develop/maintain treatment and transition plans, progress notes, and updates.
• Perform crisis intervention and communicate with the treatment team.
• Monitor and document client medication administration and ensure secure storage of medications.
• Accompany clients to offsite appointments as needed and assist with intake processes.
• Document counseling sessions in a timely manner and enter data in electronic systems.

Education
