Job summary

Walmart is seeking a dynamic leader for our Bowie, MD area store to supervise and develop hourly associates, manage store operations, and drive sales growth while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.

You will lead teams, implement business initiatives, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with company policies to deliver a positive customer experience and support the community sits within the Walmart values.

Qualifications

• 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying will require successful completion of a firearms- specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.
• For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, I acknowledge that the position for which I am applying may require a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (for example, Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching training and actively listening to associates.
• Responds to customer needs and feedback, ensuring a high quality customer experience.
• Drives store financial performance through budgeting, forecasting, and expense control in designated area.
• Supervises and develops hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, and recognizing performance.
• Ensures compliance with company policies, supports the Open Door Policy, and promotes a culture of belonging.
