Job summary

Five Below is hiring for a customer-facing role in our store. You will greet customers, share product knowledge, and guide them to merchandise while engaging in suggestive selling. You will help promote store events, resolve concerns, and communicate restocking needs to management.

The position is hourly, with a starting rate of $15.00, and requires the ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts. Competitive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule.
• Comfortable with or willing to learn technology (computers, cash registers, handheld and mobile devices).
• Good communicator with the ability to engage with customers.
• Able to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
• Willingness to learn on-the-job training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly.
• Understand and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge and directing to merchandise.
• Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed on product availability.
• Promote store events and promotions to enhance shopping experience and drive sales.
• Resolve customer concerns and offer alternatives, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate needs to management about restocking and feedback in a timely manner.
• Support team and company goals to contribute to a positive work environment.
• Operate cash register and store devices; move merchandise and stock as needed.
• Work a flexible schedule including day, evening, weekends and travel if required.
