Antech Diagnostics in Orlando, FL is seeking a Specimen Processor for the night shift (10:00pm-6:30am, Mon–Sat; two days off per week). The role involves receiving, preparing, and processing samples, ensuring accurate data entry, and maintaining turnaround times in a laboratory setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma and 0–1 year of related experience. The position demands attention to detail, strong data entry, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with appropriate PPE

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with science related classes.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.

Responsabilités

• Receives and prepares samples for laboratory analyses.
• Accurately process standard requisitions per approved procedures at expected rates.
• Removes specimens from transport bags, enter patient data, label samples and aliquot as needed for multiple testing.
• Keep inventory of samples after testing by scanning into storage racks and locate any not scanned.
• Sort samples for distribution throughout the lab (Coggins, cytology, etc.).
• Scan tubes into storage racks and enter specimen data into database to verify accuracy.
• Accession various sample types for processing.
• Check all trash containers within the Specimen Processing department when assigned.
• Assist other lab personnel with specimen storage.
• Ensure Turn Around Times are met.
• Follow SOPs and maintain cleanliness; restock supplies as needed.
• Consult with senior peers on non-complex tasks.
