Job summary

Antech Diagnostics is hiring for a Specimen Processor to receive, prepare, and process samples in a laboratory setting in the United States. The role requires attention to detail and ability to work with testing data in a fast-paced environment.

The position involves sample accessioning, data entry, and ensuring turnaround times, with a shift that may include evenings and weekends. Training and safety SOPs are emphasized along with opportunities for growth within Mars Science & Diagnostics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, with science related classes.
• 0-1 years related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receives and prepares samples for laboratory analyses.
• Accurately process standard requisitions per approved procedures at expected rates.
• Removes specimens from transport bags, enter patient data, label samples and aliquot as needed for multiple testing
• Keep inventory of samples after testing by scanning into storage racks and search lab for samples not scanned
• Sort samples for distribution throughout the lab
• Scan tubes into storage racks and enter specimen data into database to verify information accuracy
• Accession various sample types for processing
• Check all trash containers within Specimen Processing
• Assists other lab personnel with specimen storage
• Ensure Turn Around Times (TAT’s) are met
• Follow SOPs, maintain clean work area, restock supplies
• Consult with senior peers on non-complex tasks
• All other duties as assigned
