Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a full-time Registered Sleep Technologist at our Grayslake Outpatient Clinic. The role involves performing polysomnograms and ensuring accurate placement of recording devices, with a schedule from Thursday to Saturday.

The ideal candidate holds a certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists and has a minimum of 12 months' experience. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for eligible applicants.

Qualifications

• Certification in polysomnography or respiratory therapy is required.
• Must have familiarity with personal computers.
• At least 12 months prior sleep tech experience is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Complete required paperwork before studies.
• Independently prepare equipment for monitoring.
• Identify sleep disturbances and abnormal signals.

Skills

Independently perform diagnostic polysomnograms

CPAP/Bi-PAP titrations

Knowledge of International 10-20 system

BLS/CPR certification

Education

Certification by the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists, RPSGT

High school diploma or equivalent
