Job summary

Fast Park &Relax in Houston, TX is hiring an overnight shuttle driver. You will operate a shuttle safely, transport passengers on scheduled routes, and maintain records and vehicle inspections.

The role emphasizes excellent customer service, handling luggage, and coordination with dispatch to meet schedules. Requirements include a valid license, 21+ years of age, and DOT certification readiness.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Operate shuttle bus in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Transport passengers to and from designated locations following routes and schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of trip counts and required documentation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Ensure shuttle cleanliness and provide excellent customer service to passengers.
• Assist passengers with luggage and communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members.
• Maintain a clean driving record and participate in DOT-mandated training.

Responsibilities:

• Operate shuttle bus in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all traffic laws and DOT regulations.
• Transport passengers to and from designated locations, following pre-determined routes and schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of trip counts and other required documentation.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance issues or safety concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Ensure the cleanliness and orderliness of the shuttle bus, both inside and out.
• Provide excellent customer service to passengers, addressing their questions and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
• Assist passengers with luggage or other belongings.
• Communicate effectively with guest ambassadors / dispatchers and other team members to coordinate routes and schedules.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety and customer service.
• Maintain a clean driving record.
• Participate in mandatory training programs as required by DOT regulations and company policy.
• Report any accidents or incidents immediately to the appropriate authorities and company personnel.
• Always maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with a current address and acceptable driving record.

Experience:

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Must be able to obtain a DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate and work 12am - 8am.
• Experience working with diverse populations and providing excellent customer service.
• Proven ability to maintain a safe driving record and adhere to safety regulations.
• Experience performing pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections is a plus.

Skills and Abilities:

• Excellent driving skills and a strong understanding of defensive driving techniques.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and regulations.
• Ability to navigate efficiently in various traffic conditions.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with passengers, dispatchers, and other staff.
