Job summary

Avery's House LLC in Mesa, Arizona is seeking an Overnight Shift Supervisor to support behavioral health services and housing operations. The role involves supervising overnight shifts, coordinating coverage, and training new staff while ensuring safety, documentation, and compliance with house rules.

You will liaise between clinical and housing teams, maintain the environment of care, and uphold Avery’s House standards and policies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of behavioral health experience.
• Management experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Arizona Driver's License in good standing required.
• Must pass background check and drug screening.
• Must be able to lift 25+ lbs and navigate stairs.
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred; may be required.
• TB test; current status to be obtained.
• Fingerprint clearance card preferred; may be required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Aid individuals with mental health and substance abuse issues.
• Establish open lines of communication for individuals.
• Implement house rules.
• Transporting clients.
• Collaborate with additional needed treatment.
• Ensure necessary documentation is complete.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Act as a Liaison for clinical & housing staff. Keeping communication open between the clinical team, daytime housing staff, and nighttime housing staff.
• Assisting Program Manager with Monthly Binder Updates and Audits/Fire Drills/and Facility Inspections
• Assist with orientation and training for new hire CA’s.
• Flexible schedule and PRN availability.
• Assisting in finding coverage for call outs.
• Establishing a shift structure for assigned shifts.
• Must attend mandatory meetings virtually if they are outside of your scheduled shifts (paid).
• Demonstrates an exceptional ability for client communication and de-escalation.
• Demonstrates the ability to work well with others and offer additional training support if it is needed for other CA’s
• Assists Program Manager in keeping up with environment of care, making sure supplies stay stocked throughout the house and the facility is up to Avery’s House standards.
• Works closely with the Program manager as a direct contact for housing staff.

REQUIREMENTS

• REQUIRED: Must have a valid Arizona Driver’s License in good standing.
• REQUIRED: Must be minimum 21 years of age.
• REQUIRED: Must pass background check.
• REQUIRED: Must pass drug screening.
• REQUIRED: Must be able to climb up and down stairs, hills, bend and lift 25+lbs
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• CPR/First Aid certification (preferred- will be required to obtain)
• Current TB test (will be required to obtain)
• At least 2 years of behavioral health experience.
• Management experience preferred.

Schedule:

We are hiring for two Overnight Shift Supervisor’s

• 13 hour shifts
• Shift 1: Monday - Wednesday
• Shift 2: Thursday - Saturday
• Alternating Sunday shifts required

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

• Behavioral health: 2 years (Required)
• Management: 1 year (Preferred)
