Interfaith Works is seeking a Housing/Shelter Support Staff member in Olympia, WA for on-call overnight shifts. The role supports guests with basic needs, coordinates services, and helps maintain daily shelter operations.

Starting compensation is $21.50 per hour with planned annual raises to $26.00 after four years of service. Candidates should be reliable, flexible, and able to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

Qualifications

• Background check must be successfully completed.
• Able to spend long shifts on your feet and lift up to 30 lbs.
• On-call availability with a working phone and email.
• Experience in direct service and community organizing is desirable.
• Access to reliable transportation required.
• Must communicate effectively with diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and perform tasks for supportive services on-site.
• Distribute mail, assist showers and laundry, and kitchen use.
• Enforce policies and maintain safe, respectful environment.
• Respond to emergencies and coordinate with shelter guests and staff.
• Provide back-up on-call coverage as needed.
• Assist with daily operations and guest needs.
