Job summary

Frontline Response International is seeking an Overnight Resident Assistant to provide essential overnight coverage for a homelessness shelter. You will supervise residents, offer crisis intervention to those seeking shelter, and ensure a safe, welcoming environment during night shifts.

The role includes monitoring safety, conducting professional interactions, maintaining logs, and assisting with breakfast preparation. Prior shelter or direct-service experience enhances eligibility.

Qualifications

• Strong conflict resolution and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and act decisively in emergencies.
• Ability to lift and move supplies as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or experience in social services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overnight Monitoring & Support: Ensure safety and security of residents during overnight hours and monitor premises.
• Resident Accountability: Maintain logs and documentation; enforce program rules with empathy.
• Meal Preparation/Support: Coordinate with kitchen staff to ensure breakfast is prepared and served.
• Administrative Duties: Complete nightly reports and assist with intake or discharge as required.
• Facility Management: Conduct regular checks and report maintenance issues.
