Job summary

Responsibilities include greeting clients, answering phones, record-keeping, and basic cleaning tasks. A driver's license may be required; the position is temporary and open to a screening/selection

Qualifications

• Must be able to work weekends and overnights.
• Education sufficient to perform the functions; high school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Promote a diverse, culturally competent, and respectful workplace.
• Warmly welcome, greet and assist clients and visitors; answer phones; direct to appropriate staff.
• Communicate information accurately to staff; keep records per requirements.
• Enter client information into the Client Tracking System when a client enters shelter.
• Provide light janitorial services: dispose trash; clean and disinfect rooms and common areas; vacuum/sweep.
• Inventory cleaning supplies and food/beverages provided to residents.
• Assist with the distribution of food and beverages within the shelter.
• Respond to safety concerns to ensure no unauthorized persons are inside facility.
• Wear PPE such as gloves and masks as needed.
• Clean county vehicles and assist with trash removal.
• Drive county-owned vehicles to transport residents to and from shelter, depending on assignment.
