Job summary

The Metropolitan Opera in New York, NY is seeking a Security Supervisor to manage security operations during a shift. You will oversee guard presence, post assignments, and event-related security, ensuring rules and procedures are followed.

Responsibilities include training staff, responding to emergencies, coordinating with emergency services, and producing detailed incident reports to maintain safe, compliant operations across all venues.

Qualifications

• Must hold a NYS Licensed Security Officer credential.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• FDNY Certificates of Fitness: F-03 and F-04 must be current or obtainable.
• Prior law enforcement experience required.
• Prior supervisory experience in security or related field preferred.
• Willingness to work overnights, weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Responsibilities

• Manage security operations during assigned shift and ensure guards are present and properly posted.
• Direct personnel changes during shifts and adjust posts as needed.
• Train and supervise security personnel on rules, policies and post orders.
• Respond to emergencies, alarms, criminal incidents and medical events.
• Coordinate with FDNY, NYPD and other agencies for effective emergency response.
• Ensure staff follow established protocols and maintain consistent operations.
• Prepare detailed incident reports.
