Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a part-time overnight role in Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will provide customer service, monitor areas, and deter security incidents at a logistics/distribution site, while upholding site policies and safety procedures.

In this role you will patrol, verify access, report observations, and collaborate with site leadership to maintain a secure and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.

Qualifications

• At least two years of security-related experience.
• Guard card is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Licensing requirements vary by state; a valid driver’s license may be required for driving positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of shipping, receiving, loading dock, sorting, parking, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify authorized access as directed by site policy, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery activity.
• Prepare accurate reports and communicate observations, incidents, and maintenance concerns to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
