Job summary

HSHS in Shelbyville, IL seeks a House Supervisor (RN) to lead nursing care during night shifts, coordinate staffing, patient flow and bed placement across the hospital. The role requires strong clinical leadership and the ability to act as a resource for nursing staff and other departments.

Bachelor's in Nursing preferred; RN license in state; BLS required; ACLS/NRP/TNCC/PALS per affiliate guidelines; at least 1 year of nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice is required. Wisconsin: RNs may practice with a valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules.
• BLS is required.
• ACLS, NRP, TNCC and PALS required as per local affiliate guidelines.
• 1 year nursing experience is required.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital operations and nursing care during assigned shifts, including staffing coordination, patient flow, and bed placement.
• Serve as a resource and leader for nursing staff and other departments, providing guidance, education, and support to ensure quality patient care.
• Manage hospital-wide situations, assist with data monitoring, and assume administrative responsibilities in the absence of leadership.
