Job summary

Vinfen in Windsor Locks, CT seeks an overnight program assistant to provide individual and group support in a community living arrangement, teaching skills to enhance independence and quality of life.

You will implement treatment programs, maintain records, assist with ADLs, monitor needs, and ensure safety. Driving is required; CPR/First Aid/MAC per CT guidelines. Vinfen is an Equal Opportunity Employer with extensive services.

Qualifications

• Three months to one year experience in a related function.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driving is a requirement; valid US driver's license and safe record; background checks required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment programs and participate in planning.
• Maintain records; collect data and document incidents, programs, and activities.
• Provide ADL support (showering, hygiene, dressing, chores) and safety training.
• Monitor physical and emotional needs; report changes to supervisor.
• Store, administer, document, and dispose of medications per MAP and policy.
• Attend mandated training and staff meetings; assist with orientation.
• Ensure compliance with policies, safety practices, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform hands-on tasks to support plans; ensure site safety and maintenance; provide transportation as needed.
• Maintain staff-to-person served ratios; cover shifts as required.
• Provide first aid and/or physical intervention when needed; report to authorities.
• Stay awake, alert, and present during shift; perform related duties.
