Job summary

Vinfen is seeking an overnight program staff member to support persons in a community living arrangement in Manchester, CT. You will provide individual and group supports, teach independence skills, and ensure a safe, clean living environment.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment programs, maintaining progress notes, assisting with ADLs, safety training, and participating in trainings and staff meetings. Must drive, lift up to 25 pounds, and respond to emergencies.

Qualifications

• Three months to one year experience in a related function.
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Driving is required for this position with a valid license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing treatment programs and participate in planning.
• Maintain records and progress notes; document incidents and activities.
• Assist with ADLs including showering, hygiene, dressing, and chores.
• Provide training and safety instructions; conduct fire safety training.
• Monitor physical and emotional needs and report changes.
• Handle medication storage, administration, and disposal per policies.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings; assist with orientation of new staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and internal policies.
• Perform program tasks to facilitate support plan implementation; ensure site safety.
• Provide transportation as necessary and maintain required staff-to-client ratios.
• Provide first aid and/or physical intervention in emergencies as needed.
• Miscellaneous duties; may include housekeeping and snow removal.
