Job summary

Guild Services is seeking a Mental Health Practitioner to provide supportive services in a residential setting for adults with serious mental illness. You will use a skills-based approach to promote stabilization and recovery, including executing daily documentation and coordinating with the care team.

The role requires overnight shifts from 10:30pm to 8:30am in St Paul, MN, with responsibilities ranging from teaching coping strategies and living skills to monitoring safety and maintaining

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a behavioral science or related field and 2,000 hours of service delivery experience.
• Qualified as a Minnesota mental health practitioner by state criteria.
• Alternate pathway requires credits plus 2,000 hours supervised experience.
• Alternate pathway requires 4,000 hours of supervised experience.
• Must meet additional background and credentialing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Teach coping strategies to support clients’ mental health management.
• Model living skills: hygiene, nutrition, housekeeping, budgeting, transit use.
• Review client records to understand history and needs.
• Communicate with team to navigate crises.
• Administer medications and document in EMR.
• Orient new clients to policies and procedures.
• Conduct hourly safety checks.
• Complete daily shift documentation.
• Demonstrate compassion and inclusivity for clients and staff.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.
