Job summary

Guild in Minnesota seeks a Mental Health Practitioner to provide supportive services in a residential setting for adults with serious mental illness. The role emphasizes stabilization, recovery, and skills-based support, including medication administration and HIPAA-compliant documentation.

The position requires relevant education or Minnesota practitioner eligibility, CPR/First Aid, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to work on-call day, evening, and overnight shifts across Dakota or

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in behavioral sciences (social work, psychology, or human services) or related field with 2,000 hours (1 year) in mental illness services.
• Or Minnesota MH practitioner eligibility: 30 credits + 2,000 hours supervised or 4,000 hours supervised experience.
• Must possess valid MN driver’s license, reliable vehicle, insurance.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Teach coping strategies to support clients in managing mental health symptoms.
• Model living skills (hygiene, nutrition, housekeeping, budgeting, transportation).
• Review client records to understand history and current needs.
• Communicate with team to navigate crises.
• Administer medications and document in EMR.
• Orient new clients to policies and reinforce procedures.
• Conduct hourly safety checks.
• Complete daily shift documentation.
• Promote inclusive, culturally sensitive care.
