Job summary

Zumbro Valley Health Center Inc is seeking a full-time Mental Health Practitioner to work the overnight shift in southeastern Minnesota. Qualifications

• 1 year (2000 hours) experience working with adults with a severe mental illness and/or chemical dependency.
• Must qualify as a Mental Health Practitioner in the state of MN.
• Valid driver's license and proof of auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Assess the strengths and needs of clients upon admission.
• Assist the clients with independent living skills including shopping, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
• Monitor and document physical and emotional status.
• Monitor medication compliance and report any side effects.
• Facilitate residential program activities, classes and groups.
• Accurately complete treatment plans, shift notes, admission and discharge paperwork, and financial forms.
• Respond to crises using verbal and non-verbal techniques with clients.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Social Work or related field
