Job summary

Justice Resource Institute seeks an Overnight Residential Counselor to support adolescents in Journey Home, a 3rd-shift role (Thursday, Friday, Saturday) in a group home setting in Massachusetts. You will contribute to a safe, therapeutic community and model positive coping strategies for students.

The role involves driving responsibilities, overnight availability, and collaborating with a clinical team to meet youth needs while maintaining safety and engagement.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Remain awake throughout overnight shift to ensure safety and wellbeing of students.
• Maintains valid driver’s license as transporting students is required.
• Background and driving record checks will be performed.

Responsibilities

• Help create a safe, therapeutic community by supporting students and modeling coping strategies.
• Assist students in developing life skills such as cooking, banking and vocational tasks.
• Support students in achieving independence and preparing for next steps in life.
• Provide physical interventions and verbal de-escalation to maintain a safe environment.

Journey Homeis an intensive group home setting for adolescents that specializes intraumainformed care.Journey Home provides 24-hour comprehensive care including a full clinical staff, nursing staff, and direct care staff.

Schedule: 3rd Shift. Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

Compensation

The pay range for this position is $19.00 to $25.00 per hour. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience, education, licensure, certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.

Due to the nature of our work and the youth who are depending on us, there are times where overtime may be mandated.
