SOME (So Others Might Eat) in Washington, DC is seeking a Residential Assistant to support residents at Kirwan House overnight. This full-time position provides health, safety and program oversight in a residential setting.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 12:00 am–8:00 am; HS/GED required; 3-5 years in social services; CPR/First Aid certification preferred. The role offers hourly compensation of $18.40–$19.50 and opportunities to contribute to recovery and housing support.

Qualifications

• HS/GED; 3–5 yrs experience in social services; experience in addictions or mental health treatment.
• Associate's degree or relevant certification considered an asset.
• CPR/First Aid certification required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee house operations and ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Provide clients with support to maintain progress on treatment goals.
• Plan and facilitate client participation in meaningful activity, on-site and in the community.
• Facilitate on-site group meetings and coaching to residents for recovery.
• Monitor and document medications taken by clients.
• Provide crisis management and document incidents per policy.
• Maintain client documentation and complete shift communications.
• Transport clients to meet program needs and assist with meals.
