Job summary

SOME (So Others Might Eat) in Washington, DC seeks a Residential Assistant to monitor health and safety of residents in a housing facility. The role includes weekend shifts (Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 pm–12:00 am), part-time (24 hours/week).

Required: HSGED or Associates with relevant social services experience, CPR/First Aid, valid driver license; preferred background in addictions or mental health and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HSGED required; 3–5 years in social services with addictions/mental health experience.
• Associates Degree; 5 years in social services with addictions/mental health experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee house operations and ensure safe, efficient operations.
• Report safety or maintenance concerns promptly.
• Support clients to maintain treatment goals and progress.
• Facilitate on-site group activities and coaching for recovery.
• Monitor medications and document incidents per policy.
• Prepare meals and assist in program activities as needed.
• Transport clients for program activities when required.
