Job summary

Quest Diagnostics Incorporated in Miramar, FL is seeking a Referral Testing Supervisor for the overnight shift (10:00 PM–6:30 AM). The role oversees daily operations in the Referral Testing department, ensures compliance with SOPs and QA/QC, and maintains safety and efficiency across the team.

The ideal candidate has a medical/laboratory background with strong organizational and leadership skills, and is able to manage staffing, documentation, and industry regulations.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree AA with 10+ years laboratory experience or BS with 1 year laboratory experience or Medical Technology degree (Required).
• Medical background preferred with terminology applicable to a clinical laboratory.
• Thorough knowledge of Client Service, Specimen Processing and Referral department policies.
• Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of Referral Testing department.
• Ensure safety, ergonomics, maintenance, and cleanliness of the department.
• Implement SOPs for Referral Testing per Quest Diagnostics guidelines.
• Ensure all licensure requirements are met and documented with QA/Medical Director offices.
• Maintain QA/QC documentation and reporting.
• Monitor referral specimens for quality and timely results.
• Supervise staffing, time/attendance, and monthly reporting.
