Job summary

The Ellen O'Brien Gaiser Addiction Center is a nonprofit addiction treatment organization that serves individuals and families affected by substance use disorders across Pennsylvania. The Recovery Assistant (Overnight) role provides 11:00pm–7:00am coverage for the Inpatient Program, with a training period for new hires and a strong emphasis on safety and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Prior residential aide experience preferred.
• Must be energetic and able to multitask.
• Must be responsible, reliable, and able to act ethically without direct supervision.
• Demonstrate the ability to respond to crisis situations and make good decisions under stress.
• Must be able to work all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Review shift change report every shift change.
• Regularly review client logbook and update observations.
• Complete daily tasks on the schedule.
• Transport clients in Center vehicles.
• Food preparation for clients.
• Intake and log clients' belongings on arrival.
• Monitor clients on site and off site during shifts.
• Administer testing to clients as directed by nurses/counselors.
• Log client medication usage per policy.
• Attend meetings and trainings.
