National Capital Treatment & Recovery in Arlington, VA seeks a Residential Specialist for the overnight shift (Saturdays and Sundays 7pm–7am) in the Adult Residential Treatment Program. This role maintains a safe, therapeutic milieu for adults in early recovery during night hours.

You will monitor patient activity, respond to crises, document changes, and facilitate transports and Life Skills education. Requires HS diploma and CSAC/CAC within 6 months, with 3 years in substance abuse care

Competenze

Education: High School diploma or equivalent and certification within 6 months.
Experience: minimum 3 years in substance abuse treatment preferred.
Knowledge: addiction treatment and 12 Step recovery process preferred.

Mansioni

Monitor therapeutic milieu and patient activities during overnight hours.
Conduct random and regular walk-throughs of the program.
Respond to patient crises and emergencies as needed.
Demonstrate empathy, compassion, and respect for patients in all interactions.
Maintain observation of all patient areas to monitor activities.
Transport patients to outside activities and appointments as needed.
Document behavioral changes and notes in appropriate logs and systems.
Attend meetings and participate in daily briefings and problem-solving sessions.
Administer medications only if trained and allowed; monitor medication pass.
