Job summary

Southwest Airlines is seeking Line RON Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to keep aircraft ready for flights, working outdoors on the ramp during overnight hours. You will inspect systems, fix issues, and ensure on-time service with the Technical Operations and Airport Teams.

Role requires hands-on work, outdoors, and a commitment to safety. This position operates under a Collective Bargaining Agreement with potential overtime and shift premiums.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 2 years of Aircraft Maintenance Experience, including 1 year Heavy Jet maintenance (12,500 lbs or more).
• Must meet CFR 65.83 recency requirements and have actively used A&P license for at least 6 of the preceding 24 months.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or authorized to work in the U.S.; no sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Work in a cooperative spirit to ensure the success of Southwest
• Perform checks, dismantling, overhauling, repairing, fabricating and painting aircraft parts and systems
• Meet any physical ability requirements and work under deadlines to support flight schedule
• May perform other duties as directed by leaders and interact with internal and external customers
