Job summary

Lees Marketplace in Utah is seeking an Overnight Production Baker to craft high-quality, scratch-made baked goods during the overnight shift.

You will prepare, bake, stock, rotate and maintain inventory of a wide variety of bread, pastries, cakes and specialty items, following recipes and labeling requirements, while ensuring food safety and quality. This role requires passion for baking, strong time management, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced production environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of baking or commercial bakery experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of commercial baking equipment (mixers, ovens, proofers) or willingness to learn.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and procedures accurately.
• Ability to work overnight hours independently and with a team.
• Food Handler’s Permit (or ability to obtain one).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake bread, pastries, and other baked goods using recipes and formulas provided by the bakery department.
• Maintain inventory, monitor expiration, rotate stock using FIFO.
• Follow nightly production schedule to ensure shelves are stocked with fresh product by store opening.
• Ensure products are labeled with pricing, ingredients, allergen information, and expiration dates.
• Maintain a clean, sanitary workstation and follow food safety guidelines.
• Assist in monitoring inventory and report low stock to Bakery Manager.
• Work in overnight hours and collaborate with team.
