Job summary

Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant is seeking a Full-Time Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations for residents and guests. The Cook I follows recipes, maintains safety, and collaborates with staff to deliver quality meals.

You will handle inventory, maintain production records, accommodate dietary needs, participate in ServSafe training within 90 days, and contribute to a warm, respectful dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of work-related experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification to be completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items following recipes and production guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment to measure, mix, cut, peel, shred, and trim ingredients.
• Estimate quantities, review menus, maintain production records, and requisition supplies.
• Accommodate dietary requirements and prepare meals to order.
• Receive and manage inventory; maintain cleanliness and sanitation.
• Maintain temperature logs and other documentation as required.
• Collaborate with staff to ensure high-quality food service.
• Participate in training and ongoing education.
