Job summary

Carroll Lutheran Village in Westminster, MD is seeking a Full-Time Prep Cook (Cook I) to join our Culinary team. You will prepare and cook meals for residents and guests, following standardized recipes and safety guidelines, while working with a collaborative team to create a welcoming dining experience.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule with shifts from 6:00am to 2:00pm or 7:00am to 3:00pm and one weekday off, every other weekend required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of work-related experience preferred.
• Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items by following basic recipes and production guidelines, including seasoning, tasting, carving, and serving menu items.
• Operate kitchen equipment to measure, mix, cut, peel, shred, and trim ingredients.
• Estimate food quantities, review menus, maintain production records, and requisition supplies.
• Accommodate special dietary requirements and prepare meals to order per instructions.
• Receive and manage inventory, lift and move food supplies as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations and equipment per Food Safety standards.
