Job summary

Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant is seeking a Full-Time Prep Cook to support daily kitchen operations for residents and guests. The Cook I follows recipes, maintains safety, and collaborates with staff to deliver quality meals.

You will handle inventory, maintain production records, accommodate dietary needs, participate in ServSafe training within 90 days, and contribute to a warm, respectful dining environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of work-related experience preferred.
• ServSafe Food Handler certification to be completed within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook food items following recipes and production guidelines.
• Operate kitchen equipment to measure, mix, cut, peel, shred, and trim ingredients.
• Estimate quantities, review menus, maintain production records, and requisition supplies.

Join Our Team at Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant! We’re currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Prep Cook to become part of our caring and mission-driven community. This position will follow a 11:00pm-7:00pm shift with varying weekdays with a weekend rotation.The Cook I is responsible for preparing and cooking meals in accordance with standardized recipes and dietary requirements while ensuring food safety, cleanliness, and quality standards are consistently met.
