Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, advocating for rights, and maintaining shift documentation. Requires high school diploma; lifting 50 lbs; valid driver’s license and background check.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma; degree in a relevant field preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with people with complex needs; 3-5 years preferred.
• Must pass BCA background check and have a valid driver's license with MVR.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and stand/walk for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals to be more independent in life skills such as meal prep and personal hygiene.
• Advocate for rights, medical care, and community inclusion.
• Complete documentation and shift records.
• Manage crisis situations safely; training provided for PBIS and restraints.
• Engage in trauma-informed daily care.
