Job summary

Maxim Healthcare in Phoenix is seeking an experienced RN to provide homecare for a pediatric patient. The role involves an overnight shift on Thursdays and Fridays from 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM to monitor CPAP oxygen and assist breathing during sleep apnea.

Applicants must hold a current RN license, a valid BLS card, and a health certificate. The pay range is $38–$40 per hour with competitive benefits and weekly paychecks.

Qualifications

• Current RN license for the state in which you practice.
• Health certificate required per facility contract or state regulation.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in contracted services.
• Initiates plan of care and requests revisions as patient status changes.
• Performs therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and informs physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effectiveness.
• Reviews care plans and coordinates education, goals, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior Registered Nurse (RN) experience preferred.
