Job summary

Maxim Healthcare is hiring a Registered Nurse to work 1:1 with a pediatric patient overnight in the homecare setting in Round Lake, IL. The role supports a child with G-tube, Trach, and Vent, with Sundays through Thursdays nights 7pm–7am and flexible Fri/Sat hours.

Compensation is hourly, with weekly paychecks and a full benefits package including health, dental, vision, HSA, and life insurance, PTO, and a 401(k) plan. Start ASAP, great for committed night-shift RNs seeking homecare experience.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate per facility RN contract or state regulation.
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
• Current BLS card.
• One year prior RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate care for the patient in homecare.
• Initiates the plan of care and revises as patient needs change.
• Performs nursing actions based on diagnosis and goals.
• Responds to changes in patient condition and reports to physician or supervisor.
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed and documents effects.
• Reviews plan of care and coordinates education, goals, and discharge planning.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizes the nursing process to plan, implement, and evaluate patient/client care and/or services provided to client(s) receiving contracted services, as required
• Initiates the plan of care when directed and requests from prescriber any necessary revisions as patient status and needs change
• Incorporates therapeutic, preventive, and rehabilitative nursing actions based on patient diagnosis and established goals
• Intervenes as applicable in response to changes in patient/client condition and reports such changes to appropriate physician or supervisor
• Administers medications and treatments as prescribed, as well as, monitors and documents effectiveness of intervention
• Reviews plan of care and program protocols and identifies areas for healthcare teaching/education, care coordination, goal setting and discharge planning needs, as applicable

Requirements:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) License for the state in which the nurse practices.
• Current Health Certificate (per facility Registered Nurse (RN) contract or state regulation).
• Current PPD or Chest X-Ray.
