Job summary

Qualifications

• Exceptional communication skills and customer service is required.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information to patients and other employees in the organization.
• Basic math skills including the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients warmly and answer phones.
• Register patients and update demographics.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits.
• Collect copays and payments; document registrations.
• Assist with clerical duties and file maintenance.
• Provide directions and customer service at point of service.
• Ensure front desk and waiting area are clean and presentable.
• Adhere to HIPAA policies and company policies.
