Job summary

Do-Rite Donuts & Chicken in Tinley Park is seeking Pastry Cooks to assist in preparing and presenting baked goods and desserts. You’ll work a variety of hours, including weekends, and operate knives and kitchen tools safely.

Responsibilities include portioning, maintaining safety/quality standards, reading thermometers, communicating issues to the coordinator, and supporting a clean, compliant kitchen. EOE/E-Verify participation.

Qualifications

• Assist in preparation, production and presentation of pastries/desserts.
• Available to work weekends and varied hours.
• Safely use knives and equipment.
• Communicate requirements in written and spoken directions.
• Able to stand/walk for an entire shift.
• Lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
• Follow safety and sanitation guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Follow prescribed portioning controls and par levels.
• Maintain food safety and quality standards.
• Read and interpret thermometer readings accurately.
• Communicate delays or issues to Coordinator.
• Maintain menu item counts and quantities.
• Handle allergies and special orders per procedure.
• Comply with safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Support team and adhere to employment policies.
