Job summary

North East Kingdom Community Action (NEKCA) seeks an Advocate for the Emergency Cold Weather Shelter to support overnight guests and help them access safe shelter and services.

The on-call overnight role (6:00 pm - 8:00 am) includes intake, crisis assessment, and data entry into the HMIS system, with coordination with partners to meet participant needs.

BA preferred; background checks required; dependable transportation is needed; equal opportunity employer.

Responsibilities

• Perform intake per program requirements and determine eligibility.
• Enter and report data accurately into GoEngage and HMIS.
• Assess crisis situations and develop response plans with referrals.
• Collaborate with community partners to address needs of low-income households.
• Follow program guidance and policies; attend staff and partner meetings.
