Job summary

New Narrative in Portland, OR seeks a Part-Time Residential Support Specialist for overnight shifts (11:00pm–7:00am). You will work with residents in our mental health residential programs, supporting daily living tasks, medication management, and crisis de-escalation as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities include documenting notes, facilitating group activities, meal prep, safety checks, and adhering to Oregon rules.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Able to administer CPR and Naloxone (Narcan).
• Comfortable working independently.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• QMHA credentials preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Support residents in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
• Assist with meal preparation and house tasks.
• Provide and facilitate group activities and community engagement.
• Document shift notes and incident reports in resident charts.
• Assist in crisis intervention using nonviolent de-escalation techniques.
• Ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to policies and procedures.
