Job summary

River's Edge Hospital in Saint Peter, MN is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician/Technologist for a part-time, 0.8 FTE overnight shift. The role performs diagnostic laboratory procedures, maintains QA standards, and participates in ongoing education. EKGs and phlebotomy are included.

Requires an accredited MLT/MLS degree with ASCP certification or eligibility and BLS. A $15,000 sign-on bonus applies, with competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Medical Laboratory Science with ASCP certification or eligibility.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain within six months.
• Willingness to travel to other sites with own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic laboratory procedures to provide timely results for patient care.
• Participate in the Laboratory's Quality Assurance Plan.
• Perform EKGs (including pediatric) and venipuncture as required.
• Adhere to HIPAA and hospital policies, maintain records, and communicate results clearly.
• Be flexible with weekends, evenings, and overnight shifts.

Education

MLT/MLS degree from an accredited institution
