Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Medical Technologist/ Medical Laboratory Scientist to perform diverse tests across Hematology, Chemistry, Microbiology and Transfusion. You will ensure quality control and instrument maintenance, delivering accurate data for patient care. Location: St.

Marys Regional Hospital, Grand Junction, CO. Shift: Overnights, 7 on/7 off; 35 hours per week. Requires MLS BOС eligibility, ASCP certification, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology or related science from an accredited institution.
• Completion of MLS program coursework with eligibility to sit for the BOC and certification within 6 months.
• ASCP certification or approved equivalent; maintain certification to remain in role.

Responsibilities

• Perform a variety of laboratory tests across hematology, chemistry, microbiology and transfusion.
• Interpret and report test results to support patient diagnosis and care decisions.
• Operate, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments; perform quality control checks.
• Prepare samples, monitor quality assurance, and document data accurately.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to discuss results and ensure safe patient care.
• Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a sterile lab environment.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate with maintenance as needed.
