Job summary

Intermountain Health Sevier Valley Hospital is seeking an experienced Medical Technologist/MLS Advanced to assist leadership with advanced technical functions in Laboratory Services. The role oversees quality control, instrument maintenance, and regulatory compliance, supporting CAP inspections and standardization efforts.

Work involves Hematology, Coag & UA, with generalist and phlebotomy duties as needed. Shifts are 4-10s; 40 hours weekly; benefits eligible; located in Richfield, Utah.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in clinical laboratory/medical technology science or chemical, physical, biological, or equivalent, accredited institution.
• ASCP certification or equivalent required; maintained to remain in the job.
• Two years of clinical laboratory experience required.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts including weekends, holidays, nights, and on-call.

Responsibilities

• Ensure proficiency testing entry and regulatory compliance.
• Lead and assist in inventory control.
• Support supervisor with personnel duties: investigations, training, competency assessment.
• Support technical duties: AMRS, correlations, recalls, instrument troubleshooting.
• Lead and assist with new instrument evaluation and implementation.
• Develop and refine policies and procedures.
• Attend or lead system work groups for standardization initiatives.
• Maintain bench competency and cover shifts/call as required.
