Job summary

Metro is seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a skilled team in our public transportation operations. The role focuses on planning and supervising maintenance for Metro’s bus fleet and facilities during the third shift, with weekend and overtime requirements as needed.

You will coordinate repairs, ensure safety standards, manage SDS documentation, and support bids and procurement activities. Strong leadership and regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Specialized or technical training in automotive and heavy equipment maintenance.
• Knowledge of safety practices to provide a safe work environment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills across all levels.

Responsibilities

• Plans and schedules repair and maintenance by equipment and skill level.
• Ensures safe work practices and regulatory compliance.
• Maintains SDS documentation per local, state, and federal regulations.
• Performs system maintenance such as GPS and camera systems updates.
• Manages fleet maintenance computer and fuel systems; ensures proper time records.
• Prepares equipment for disposal and coordinates pick-up/delivery.
• Administers vehicle accident policies and investigations.
• Supervises night shift service-lane attendants.
