Job summary

Electrical Automation Services is seeking a Production Line Mechanic/Technician for night shifts in the United States, IL region. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on high-speed lines, perform preventive maintenance, and support continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires ability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in hot conditions, and weekends as needed. Qualifications include 2+ years of relevant experience or a technical degree; experience with can-making equipment

Qualifications

Two years of Production Line Mechanic or Technician experience preferred, or equivalent technical education.
Packaging and steel aerosol can or aluminum can making equipment experience is a plus.
Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.
Ability to use Maintenance Shop equipment is a plus.
Must be able to stand, crawl, climb ladders and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems with high-speed production line equipment.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems with packaging/processing equipment.
Complete routine preventative maintenance tasks safely and on time.
Support food safety, quality and continuous improvement activities.
Request design/fabrication of replacement parts or equipment as needed.
Take lead to consult with internal resources to resolve issues and improve equipment.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
