Job summary

Electrical Automation Services in Illinois seeks a Production Line Mechanic/Technician to support high-speed packaging lines. You will troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, perform preventative maintenance, and contribute to safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role requires overnight availability (7 PM–7 AM) with weekend work as scheduled, the ability to stand for long periods in hot environments, crawl under lines, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Two years experience as Production Line Mechanic or Technician preferred, or equivalent technical education.
• Experience with packaging/processing equipment a plus.
• Understanding of automation principles and controls logic is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical problems on high-speed production lines.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems on packaging/processing equipment.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance safely and on time.
• Support food safety, quality, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with others to design/fabricate replacement parts or equipment as needed.
• Lead consultations to resolve issues and improve equipment.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
